There have been reports of intermittent rain in a few different areas in Lahore, which is a much-needed break from the current heat wave.
A mixture of light and heavy showers fell on areas including Ferozepur Road, Gulberg, Cantt, Saddar, and Model Town. The Met Department predicts that tomorrow will bring thunderstorms and that the city will remain cloudy throughout the day.
Meanwhile, rain has considerably tempered the weather in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The water level in Nullah Leh has reached 11 feet in Gawalmandi, raising concerns about possible floods. The maximum rainfall reported was 43mm at Saidpur Road. More rain is expected in the upcoming days, especially in the country’s top regions, according to the Met Office.
