A PIA representative stated that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft PK260, which was headed from Muscat to Peshawar, was redirected to Karachi because of a technical issue during the flight.
As a precaution, the aircraft was flown to Karachi, where it made a safe landing. The decision to divert the aircraft was made, according to an airline representative, since Karachi has the engineering and repair resources required to handle the problem.
The plane is undergoing repairs, and all of the passengers are said to be safe. Travelers were reassured by PIA that safety is still their first priority and that the flight will continue as planned after the issue is fixed.
