With effect from October 1, 2024, the National Highways Authority (NHA) has announced a substantial rise in toll rates on highways and motorways.
Through this action, the income target is expected to increase from Rs 64 billion received in 2023–24 to Rs 102 billion by the conclusion of the 2024–25 fiscal year.
The Multan-Sukkur Motorway (M5), the D I Khan-Hakla Motorway (M14), the Mansehra Expressway, the Pindi Bhattian-Faisalabad-Multan Motorway (M4), and the Lahore-Abdul Hakeem Motorway (M3) will also be impacted by the toll increases.
Drivers using the Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway (M1) would now pay Rs460 instead of Rs350 as a result of the new toll system. Wagons will now pay a toll of Rs720 instead of Rs550, while buses will now pay Rs1,300 instead of Rs1,000.
