On Monday, the much anticipated “Karachi Ka Bicchu” delighted and tickled the ribs of the audience at the Arts Council of Pakistan. Farce was the flavor of the day at the World Culture Festival 2024.
Renowned actor Khalid Ahmed is directing the play, which is a hilarious farcical comedy that sets Moliere’s famous play “Tartuffe” in modern-day Karachi.
The plot centers on the two families who live next door, the Khaans and Sindhis, as well as their two slaves, who are essentially the source of the amusement, which combines humor and sarcasm.
