With plans to provide a license to Elon Musk’s satellite internet startup Starlink, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has made a big step toward increasing internet speed in the nation.
PTA officials claim that the decision to issue Starlink a license has been made in principle and that the only thing left to do is obtain security clearance. Starlink will formally receive a license to operate in Pakistan after this is finished.
PTA representatives affirm, “Starlink’s license is ready; the only thing pending is security clearance.”
It is anticipated that the launch of Starlink’s high-speed satellite internet service will significantly improve internet connection nationwide, particularly in rural and isolated locations where traditional broadband services are few or unreliable.
