After being hurt in fighting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members, an Islamabad police officer passed away. Sunday immediately after noon saw the offering of funeral prayers in D-Chowk.
At the PIMS hospital, Islamabad Police Constable Abdul Hameed was receiving medical attention. His attackers were furious PTI employees.
According to information provided, the Islamabad police official was hurt during altercations in the federal capital between police and PTI members during PTI protests.
Later on, while undergoing medical care, he passed away.
A spokesman for the Islamabad Police said that Abdul Hamid was stationed at Chungi No. 26 for law and order duties. He was assigned to the Investigation Wing and was a resident of Abbottabad.
