ISLAMABAD: On Tuesday, the Emergencies Operation Centre (NEOC) of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) issued an early warning about a low-pressure system that was forming in the Arabian Sea and had the potential to grow into a tropical cyclone.
According to the statement, the potential storm is now located close to India’s Lakshadweep Valley and is predicted to move northwest, potentially impacting coastal regions of the nation in the third week of October.
The disaster management organization said, “Early forecasts suggest the possibility of landfall along the Pakistani coastline in the third week of October 2024, depending on its trajectory and intensity.”
Furthermore, this low-pressure system might develop into a tropical cyclone, which could have an impact on the coastal areas.
