When a convicted criminal sent his acquaintance to attend in court on his behalf, an instance of impersonation was discovered during a fraud case hearing at Islamabad Kacheri.
The incident took place in Additional Sessions Judge Jahangir Awan’s courtroom. After being deemed a proclaimed offender, Bilal Khan made arrangements for a guy by the name of Shahid Kareem to appear in court in his place.
The man asked to be brought back before the judge after the court rejected his bail plea and ordered that he be placed in jail. He acknowledged that he was not the real accused when he returned to the courtroom.
A complaint was then filed against the impostor, who was later taken into custody.
