His funeral prayers were attended by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
According to a spokesman for the Islamabad police, Abdul Hameed passed away at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).
He went on to say that Abdul Hameed worked for the Islamabad police’s Investigation Wing and was from Abbottabad.
Additionally, he mentioned that Abdul Hameed began serving with the Islamabad police in 1988 and was scheduled to leave the force after three months.
Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, harshly criticized the police constable’s death from torture and ordered the culprits to face consequences.
