By his real name, Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, he has presented shows on news and is most recognized for his work with the YouTube collective Beta Squad.
Tuesday saw his arrest in Brisbane, and the next day he was transported to Perth to appear in court.
The bail request for Barrientos, 29, who was charged on Thursday, was granted. We’ve reached out to his agents to get their thoughts.
The entire set of charges consists of one crime of obstructing someone’s normal breathing or circulation by exerting pressure on or to their neck, three counts of assault resulting in bodily harm, and four counts of sexual intercourse without consent.
He is accused of escorting a twentysomething woman back to his hotel room after his performance at Bar120, a nightclub in Perth, last week.
It is said that on September 28, a Saturday, the attack occurred.
Attorney Seamus Rafferty SC defended him in the Perth Magistrates Court and requested bail on Barrientos’ behalf.
While touring his music in Australia, the 29-year-old also made appearances on Soccer Aid on TV and The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up 2 Cancer in the UK.
