On October 15–16, 2024, Pakistan will play host to the twenty-third session of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of the Heads of Government (CHG) of member nations.
Current CHG chair Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will chair the meeting, which is scheduled to take place at the Jinnah Convention Centre.

Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is a permanent intergovernmental international organization that was founded on June 15, 2001, by China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Its goals are to promote peace and security, multisphere cooperation, and a new international economic order.
