A low-pressure region has developed in the Arabian Sea, southeast of Karachi, resulting in an extreme heat wave at the moment.
For the next 24 hours, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts that the weather will stay hot and dry, with maximum temperatures forecast to reach between 37 and 39 degrees Celsius.
The lowest recorded temperature for today was 24.4 degrees Celsius, with a 51% humidity level.
The low-pressure system is located at latitude 17.0 N and longitude 72.0 E, or around 1,000 kilometers southeast of Karachi.
Over the next two to three days, meteorologists predict that this storm may strengthen into a depression, first traveling northwest.
