The Punjab government has completed steps to combat the smog in the region, where wintertime air quality conditions are extremely hazardous to the health of the populace.
Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb of the province government stated on Sunday that necessary preparations have been made to deal with smog as the colder months draw near.
In the event that smog levels rise, she said, the province will explore the idea of artificial rain, which would come at a cost of between Rs5 million and Rs7 million.
Furthermore, the campaign to shut down companies and automobiles that emit harmful smoke will not end.
“If we improve the environment through measures against smoke, artificial rain will not be needed,” Aurangzeb declared, pleading with the public to report such factories, cars, or instances of stubble.
