The Punjab administration is getting ready to release the winter break schedule for schools and other educational institutions as the weather gets cooler.
In keeping with past tradition, the Schools Education Department will probably announce a two-week holiday in December to shield personnel and pupils from the inclement weather.
The province government first declared a holiday in 2023, which would run from December 18 to December 31. However, the festivities were postponed until January 9 owing to persistently bad weather, which included thick fog and below-freezing temperatures.
Parents and instructors widely demanded the extension since it was becoming difficult for pupils to commute and attend classes because the temperature had dropped to about 7-8 degrees Celsius.
The administration is anticipated to adhere to a similar schedule for 2024.
