A notable 15.62% pay raise for industrial sector workers has been announced by the Sindh government.
A notification outlining the new salary structure has been released by the Department of Labor and Human Resources.
Workers in 50 industries who are semi-skilled, skilled, and highly skilled are impacted by the increase. Semi-skilled workers would make Rs38,280 per month under the new rates, skilled workers will make Rs45,910, and highly skilled workers will make Rs47,868.
This move comes after the Sindh cabinet approved raising the province’s minimum wage for unskilled workers last week. The government raised the minimum salary for all workers to Rs37,000 per month in August.
