In a 2016 case, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was accused of transporting alcohol and illegal firearms. On Wednesday, a district and sessions court in Islamabad ordered the Islamabad police to carry out the arrest warrant.
In order to ensure that the court’s order to arrest the PTI firebrand chief minister is carried out, Islamabad police’s SSP activities were instructed by civil judge Mubashir Hassan.
A report on CM Gandapur’s arrest warrants was presented to the local court during the hearing. According to the report, the arrest orders for the provincial chief executive were not carried out by the police.
The court upheld his non-bailable arrest warrants and directed the appropriate authorities to bring the chief minister before the court after becoming alarmed by his repeated absences.
