In order to collect taxes, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) acquired information on approximately 200,000 elites from the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) on Thursday.
In order to prevent tax fraud, the FBR is seeking to adhere to the guidelines set forth by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
In this sense, the FBR is now eager to collect taxes from the elites in proportion to their real income.
According to FBR authorities, the information will be useful in determining the true income of citizens based on their lifestyle, regardless of whether or not wealthy individuals are fully paying their taxes. This category now includes the business community as well.
