Following a minor drop in worldwide prices, major petroleum products, such as gasoline and high-speed diesel (HSD), are predicted to see price reductions of Rs2 to Rs3 per liter beginning on November 1.
According to reliable sources, during the past two weeks, the average international price of gasoline and HSD has decreased by about $1.5 and $2.5 per barrel, respectively. It is anticipated that petrol prices will drop by Rs3 per litre and HSD prices will drop by Rs2.30 per litre, based on final exchange rate calculations and current tax rates.
According to officials, the average price of gasoline on the global market has decreased from $77.5 to approximately $76 per barrel, while the price of HSD has decreased from $86.5 to about $84 per barrel.
