According to its makers, Deep Fusion Films, Virtually Parkinson is the first podcast in the world. Parkinson’s family and estate helped make the film.
Parkinson, who was well-known for his interviews with the top celebrities in the globe, passed away last year at the age of 88 after a brief illness.
Using a back catalog of more than 2,000 of the late presenter’s interviews, the eight-part series will use artificial intelligence (AI) technology to mimic his voice and interviewing manner.
The “Squark” technology employs artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities to enable real persons to converse with historical voices.
Mike Parkinson, Parkinson’s son, approached the organization with the idea of making the podcast, calling it “a tribute to my Dad,” in an effort to carry on his father’s legacy.
He stated: I want viewers to be amazed by the technology, the concept’s ingenuity and cheekiness, but more than anything, I want them to recall how skilled he was at conducting interviews and to savor the fond recollections and nostalgia.
His legacy can live on thanks to this platform, which will amuse a new generation of followers.
