LAHORE: Pakistan’s Green Shirts announced their playing XI for the first 50-over match against Australia on Monday (tomorrow) at the storied Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) as they get ready to carry over their recent red-ball form from the Test series victory over England into the ODIs.
For the first time as Pakistan captain, Mohammad Rizwan will be in charge of the team. After Babar Asam resigned last month, the wicketkeeper-batter was named the team’s white-ball captain.
With a victory over the Kangaroos, the new captain hopes to start his captaincy off right.
The national team will play three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) against Australia. The second and third matches are set for November 8 at Adelaide Oval and November 10 in Perth.
