Electricity costs nationwide, with the exception of Karachi, would drop by Rs1.28 per unit, according to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).
The price reduction, which will take effect with the September 2024 monthly adjustment, was announced today. This cut will be reflected in November bills for consumers.
Customers of K-Electric are not eligible for this price decrease. In the August 2024 monthly adjustment, NEPRA raised power prices for K-Electric customers by Rs0.40 per unit, in contrast to the countrywide decrease.
