A pre-arrest bail plea from a restaurant owner engaged in a case involving the death of a man who allegedly died after ingesting coffee purportedly laced with narcotics was denied by a sessions court. Additional District and Sessions Judge Ihsan Ali Malik was presented with the application.
The court rejected the bail request after considering the reasons made by both parties, stating that there was insufficient proof of ill faith or ulterior intentions on the part of the complainant or the police to support pre-arrest bail.
The offender, who is identified in the FIR along with two waiters, is responsible for the complainant’s young son’s death, the judge observed.
