RAWALPINDI: According to the military’s media wing on Thursday, an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated on the lead vehicle during an operation in the Harnai district of Balochistan, killing two soldiers, including an army officer.
Security personnel were promptly sent in to sanitize the area after it was informed that terrorists were planning to attack innocent civilians in Harnai, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the statement, three terrorists were killed when Pakistan Army troops successfully engaged their location.
But during the operation, an improvised explosive device detonated on the security forces’ main vehicle, killing Major Muhammad Haseeb, a courageous commander from the district of Multan who was leading his troops from the front, along with Havildar Noor Ahmed.
