In Monday’s interbank trading, the rupee lost 19 paise vs the dollar, finishing at Rs277.85 as opposed to Rs277.66 the day before.
The Forex Association of Pakistan reports that the open market dollar buying and selling rates were Rs277.40 and Rs278.90, respectively.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the price of the euro dropped 48 paise to close at Rs293.01 from Rs293.49 the previous day.
The British pound saw a 96-paise drop in value, closing at Rs350.58 from the previous day’s closing of Rs351.54, while the Japanese yen increased by one paisa to conclude at Rs1.79.
