The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), led by Narendra Modi, has been ordered to remove an election campaign video that presents Muslims in a stigmatized and discriminating manner.
Due to a video campaign, the ruling party in India has come under heavy fire for inciting anti-Muslim sentiment.
The film was made public on Saturday as part of the Jharkhand state election campaign in eastern India. It depicts Muslims occupying an Indian home for violating the Commission’s code of behavior.
According to The New Arab, a woman is also shown making gestures as though the newcomers are bringing an offensive smell, Muslim kids are scrubbing the furniture, and ladies completely wrapped in hijabs and niqabs seem to take over the house.
It has been determined that the film reinforces discrimination against the Muslim minority.
