Concerns about a possible gasoline crisis in the nation’s capital city as a result of road closures after the troubled Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rallies were downplayed by the district administration on Tuesday.
The district government stated, in detail: “The petrol pumps across Islamabad have sufficient stock.”
For the next five to six days, demand could be met with the current supplies, it had been promised.
There will likely be a shortage of gasoline in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
An impending fuel shortage in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was raised earlier Monday after it was claimed that the continuing PTI demonstrations had hampered the petroleum product supply chain.
According to Abdul Sami Khan, chairman of the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association, supply has been suspended as a result of road closures.
