Sher Afzal Marwat, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has blamed Imran Khan, the founder of the PTI, for the decision to call off a sit-in at Sangjani, claiming that Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, did not want to march towards D-Chowk in Islamabad.
Marwat’s comments were made as the erstwhile ruling party, which has been dealing with legal and political issues for months, faces internal divisions following the party’s disastrous “do-or-die” protest.
Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, and Gandapur are coming under heavy fire for their choice to march in the direction of D-Chowk even though Imran was open to holding a protest in Sangjani.
PTI employees were eventually exposed to the security forces’ operation as a result of their choice to press towards D-Chowk, which resulted in an abrupt conclusion.
