Despite the rival party’s claims to have established a negotiating committee, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah disclosed on Friday that the government has yet to receive an official message from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on starting the discussion process.
According to reports, the government and the former ruling party decided to negotiate in a legislative forum in an effort to foster a “atmosphere of reconciliation” and ease the nation’s political tensions in the face of PTI’s threat of civil disobedience.
Omar Ayub Khan, Ali Amin Gandapur, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Salman Akram Raja, and Asad Qaiser are the five members of the negotiation committee that the Imran Khan-founded party has established for the purpose.
The party is accused of having neglected to formally inform the government of this, though.
