Jason Gould has now explained why, following the release of his debut picture Up the Sandbox in 1972, he took a break from Hollywood.
The actor and singer revealed in an interview with SFGate that the attention his mother, Barbra Streisand, received was a major factor in his decision to take a vacation from show business.
The 57-year-old remarked, “I couldn’t go anywhere as a kid without photographers in our face.”
“I dislike having my face snapped at by cameras. It resembles an attack. One of the reasons I’ve been quiet [since making The Prince of Tides] is because of this. “I really don’t like that kind of attention,” the Nature Boy himatker went on.
