According to a spokeswoman, a zebra at a zoo passed away after an incident involving a rhino.
According to Colchester Zoo, the encounter between the male zebra and the rhino occurred at the mixed-species African habitat at approximately 14:00 GMT.
“These sorts of incidents are extremely rare and we will continue to monitor the situation over the next few days,” stated the spokeswoman.
“We are devastated by this loss and thank you for your understanding and support at this time.”
