Motorcycles now account for 64% of transportation in Karachi, with over 4.2 million registered vehicles on the road and 128,000 new registrations in 2024 alone. Road safety and the enforcement of traffic laws have become significant concerns as a result of this overwhelming presence.
Whether they are struck by another car or collide with an item, motorcycle riders frequently get the most severe injuries. Untrained riders, disregard for traffic laws, lane discipline issues, speeding, and the lack of side mirrors are some of the main causes of the rising number of accidents.
