Karachi: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Central Zeeshan Shafiq Siddiqi announced on Saturday that police had found the body of Mohammed Sarim, age seven, in the subterranean water tank of his apartment building.
It appeared that Sarim had fallen in the tank by accident, the police official said, adding that the child’s body had been submitted for autopsy.
The regrettable news follows Sarim’s disappearance from North Karachi Sector 5, which is located inside the boundaries of the Bilal Colony police station, 11 days ago on January 7.
Under Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) Section 364-A (kidnapping or abducting a person under the age of 14), a First Information Report (FIR) was filed.
