Seven-year-old Mohammed Sarim was raped before being strangled to death, according to a postmortem analysis performed on his body, which was found in an underground water tank of a residential unit in North Karachi eleven days after he vanished.
The preliminary autopsy result indicated that Sarim was slain five days ago and that his body was disposed of in the subterranean water tank of the same flat where he resided, according to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Aneel Haider of the Anti-Violence Crime Cell (AVCC).
“Sarim has a broken bone in his neck, suggesting he was strangled to death,” the SSP stated, quoting his postmortem report.
