According to Al Jazeera, German Foreign Ministry spokesman Sebastian Fischer denounced on Monday a meeting between Israeli ministers and far-right organizations that aimed to encourage the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians and the construction of further Jewish communities in the beleaguered Gaza region.
“It is completely unethical to take into account plans to drive out the Palestinian people from Gaza and rebuild Israeli settlements there. They blatantly violate international law and contribute to the current conflict’s aggravation,” the official stated.
“We categorically reject the statements made at this resettlement conference and condemn, in the strongest terms possible, the participation of parts of the Israeli government there.”
