DI KHAN: According to The News on Sunday, four Levies force members and a driver were killed after their car was attacked in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The assistant commissioner claims that while the Levies team was in tehsil Daraban recovering a stolen truck in a private staff car, they were attacked.
According to the official, the bodies of Levies employees were moved to Daraban Hospital while the inquiry was being conducted.
The attack on Saturday coincides with the region being hit hard by an increase in militancy, particularly since the Taliban took back control of Afghanistan in 2021.
