Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar established a special panel to enhance the functioning of Pakistan’s embassies overseas at Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s request.
An official notification has been released announcing the appointment of Bilal Azhar Kayani, a member of the National Assembly (MNA), as the convener of the eight-member subcommittee.
Tomorrow is the first meeting of the subcommittee, which Kayani will head. The subcommittee will also include additional secretaries from the ministries of Finance, Commerce, Interior, and Information and Broadcasting.
The subcommittee will also include the joint secretary of the Cabinet Division’s Institutional Reforms Cell, as well as additional secretaries from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis.
