KARACHI: Despite growing concerns about road safety, heavy vehicle accidents continue to occur in the city, with police reporting Thursday that a motorcyclist was killed and another injured after being struck by a trailer truck close to Malir Court.
At least 118 people have died in different road accidents in Karachi over the last two months, according to the police. This year, 1,303 people have also been injured in traffic accidents.
After striking the biker in the most recent terrible event, the trailer truck driver ran away. According to the police, a search was being conducted to find him.
The deceased, Amir, was riding a motorcycle with his brother-in-law when he passed away.
