Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, announced on Sunday that the government was actively working to send as many pilgrims as possible to perform the holy religious duty after gaining an additional Hajj quota.
His remarks followed the announcement by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony that 23,620 Pakistani pilgrims would be able to do the Hajj in 2025 under the Private Hajj Scheme, with the destiny of the remaining 67,000 pilgrims still up in the air.
The minister of religious affairs stated that 10,000 more Pakistanis were permitted to make the pilgrimage in private while appearing on the news show “Pakistan” today.
