LAHORE: In a significant move to improve global connectivity and boost travel, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) launched direct flights from Lahore to Baku, Azerbaijan, on Sunday.
According to the airline’s announcement, the flight signaled the start of a new route and was a “milestone in the national carrier’s strategy to expand its international network and enhance connectivity between Pakistan and Central Asia.”
“This initiative aims to boost tourism, trade, and people-to-people linkages, reflecting the growing diplomatic and economic ties between Pakistan and Azerbaijan,” the statement read.
