KARACHI: According to his nephew Shayan Qureshi, renowned chef Zakir Hussain died at the age of 58 on Monday night after battling kidney disease and receiving dialysis.
Shayan claims that although Chef Zakir had been having treatment in the United States, the renowned chef returned to Karachi a month ago after specialists concluded that additional medical intervention was unlikely to be successful.
Following the Asr prayer today, the funeral service for the cherished chef will take place at Jamia Rashidiya in Malir, Saudabad.
