KARACHI: The protest at Mangrio Pump near Daharki on the National Highway has entered its ninth day in a row, while the sit-in at Khairpur Baberlo bypass against the contentious canal project entered its eleventh day on Monday, suspending traffic between Sindh and Punjab.
Traffic between Sindh and Balochistan is being severely disrupted by sit-ins at Kamo Shaheed in Obaro and Gola Mor in Kandhkot. Prolonged lines of cars have been observed on important routes.
One of the main points of dispute between the federal administration led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Sindh government led by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is the Cholistan Canals issue.
