ISLAMABAD: In their remarks on Thursday, International Labor Day, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed their commitment to workers’ rights and urged for the empowerment and elevation of workers.
President Zardari praised the contributions, hardships, and sacrifices of working men and women who had been crucial to the nation’s development. “In today’s rapidly changing world, the key to securing a brighter future for our youth and workers lies in their skill development,” he said.
The president also urged governments, private companies, educational institutions, and civil society to work together, emphasizing the importance of giving workers and young people contemporary skills to handle the challenges of a constantly shifting labor market.
