GENEVA: Speaking at a high-level climate conference in Geneva on Thursday, Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Dr. Musadik Malik urged greater international collaboration to assist developing nations in making the transition to a green economy.
The United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) organized the event, which coincided with the Basel, Rotterdam, and Stockholm (BRS) Conventions Conference of Parties (COPs) in Geneva.
Speaking during a ministerial panel discussion, Dr. Malik emphasized that international green standards shouldn’t be hurdles for developing countries, but should instead be inclusive and equal.
