According to the news, the US tech behemoth has filed an appeal with the Investigatory Powers Tribunal, an impartial body that has the authority to look into allegations made against the Security Service.

The Home Office secretly ordered Apple in January to provide UK law enforcement access encrypted data belonging to Apple users worldwide in the case of a possible national security threat.
If a warrant is received, Apple can still access data that is encrypted using its standard level, but it is unable to view or share data that is encrypted using its most stringent privacy tool, Advanced Data Protection.
