In an emotional interview, the Duke of Sussex told the news that he “would love a reconciliation” with the Royal Family and expressed his disappointment at losing a judicial case about his security in the UK.
Prince Harry claimed that although the King “won’t speak to me because of this security stuff,” he did not “know how much longer my father has” and that he no longer wanted to fight.
After losing an appeal over the protection levels he and his family are entitled to while in the UK, the prince spoke to BBC News in California.
The palace said, “All of these issues have been examined repeatedly and meticulously by the courts, with the same conclusion reached on each occasion.”
