DUBAI: UAE Vice President and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum declared on Sunday that artificial intelligence (AI) will be taught in all government schools in the United Arab Emirates starting in the upcoming academic year.
On X, Sheikh Mohammed wrote, “As part of the UAE’s long-term plans to prepare future generations for a different future, the government today approved the final curriculum to introduce artificial intelligence as a subject across all stages of government education, from kindergarten to grade 12.”
Beginning with the upcoming academic year, the subject will be taught to students in kindergarten through grade 12. According to Sheikh Mohammed, the move is a component of the UAE’s long-term strategy to get students ready for the future.
