With a significant policy change, the Sindh government has announced that 11th grade applications are now open throughout the province, including Karachi. Students will no longer need to provide proof of residency or a Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) in order to be admitted.
Admissions can now be made based on the father’s residence, according to Naveed Rab, Director General of Colleges. Even children who failed two courses on their ninth-grade tests will be given consideration for entrance this year, he continued.
Admissions to 375 colleges in Sindh, including 154 in Karachi, have started this year. With 18,756 applications so far, Karachi has got the most, followed by Hyderabad (883), Mirpurkhas (456), Nawabshah (320), Larkana (345), and Sukkur (364).
