Following missile attacks on cities in Punjab and Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, Pakistan’s military launched a fierce counterattack against India.
Lt Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director-General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said during his news briefing that Pakistani forces have responded appropriately to Indian assault.
Nevertheless, India’s late-night attacks on citizens and mosques claimed the lives of 26 innocent bystanders and injured 46 more. In addition, other buildings were demolished.
Following the attacks, flights were canceled and the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi and Allama Iqbal International Airport were shuttered; however, they were reopened eight hours later.
