Due to the influence of a westerly wave and entering moist currents, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted extensive rain, wind, and thunderstorms with isolated hailstorms throughout the country from May 8–12. This information was published by APP.
The weather system is predicted to first impact the upper and central regions before moving on to the southern ones, citing a PMD advisory released on Wednesday.
The department has advised the relevant authorities to stay vigilant in light of the potential for hailstorms and severe rains in certain places.
Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, and other parts of Kashmir are expected to have rain and thunderstorms from May 8 to May 12, with sporadic severe rainfall and hailstorms.
