Suspects in an investigation into alleged homophobic assaults that occurred around the time of the two men’s notorious act of felling the Sycamore Gap tree were the two men found guilty.
Adam Carruthers, 32, of Wigton, and Daniel Graham, 39, of Carlisle, were convicted last week of felling the famous tree near Hadrian’s Wall on September 27, 2023.
